Chapter 1 - Prologue

The blast shook the very foundations of the room. Everyone was thrown backwards, and a cloud of dust erupted so that nothing was visible for a few seconds. Everyone was probably regaining their energy, but then a hair-raising cry was heard. It was nothing close to what a curse could induce, it was far more serious.

It was very strange, as if the whole castle fell silent. 

And then George discovered that Fred was missing. He disentangled himself from the debris, and saw Percy lying across a body. He ran towards them, and recognized Fred’s face, his laughing face with no activity beyond in the eyes. His last smile was still there. George felt tears overwhelming him, and he didn’t stop them from flowing. He collapsed over Fred’s body, and cried his heart out.

“Noooooo!” Percy was constantly repeating, with huge gasps for breath.

“Don’t worry, Georgie! Don’t cry for me”

George cricked his neck, so fast he turned around to look for the owner of that voice. It was Fred’s voice, he was sure. But Fred was … he couldn’t bear to say it aloud. Then still the mystery of that voice remained.

“Who is it?” asked George to everyone in general.

“Umm no one George, what are you talking about? Let’s get Fred’s body somewhere safe, spells are being shot here, and you are also very depressed, you need to rest,” Percy told him, and they all lifted his body and put it where once there was a suit of armour. Harry, Ron and Hermione left and George set to go somewhere else.

Just then, the same voice, said, “George, go, take a break, I will talk to you later. Even if I am dead, it doesn’t mean I can’t talk to you…”
